Despite its name, the WiCard® Pro is a dongle that plugs into a USB port: nothing to dismantle. It has 2 adjustable external antennas of 2 dBi.

Setup in 3 steps

Insert the adapter into a USB port, ideally a USB 3.0 port.

Install the driver

Double-click the supplied driver, then restart the computer. If it fails, reinstall it and restart.

Connect to WiFi

Choose your network in the Windows WiFi settings.

No. The adapter only works with 64-bit Windows 10 and 11: it is compatible with neither Linux nor macOS.

Does it work with an AMD processor?

Yes. Its operation does not depend on the processor brand.

Is a driver needed?

Yes. Double-click the supplied driver to install it, then restart the computer. If the adapter does not work straight away, reinstall the driver and restart again.

Can I use it on a USB 2.0 port?

Yes, it is backwards compatible with USB 2.0 and 1.1, but the speed will be lower. A USB 3.0 port is recommended to make use of its speeds.

What does AX1800 mean?

It is the rounded combined maximum speed of both bands: 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz and 1200 Mbps on 5 GHz. Actual speed depends on your router, distance and obstacles.
